I have respect for IIMs and IITs, they are temples of great professors, charismatic alumni and motivated students. However, a nation which is obsessed with IIMs and IITs, its important to explore options.
When I was 15-year-old I had no clue about higher education, being poor in mathematics and science, I was sure that I am not cut out for engineering. I failed as an Entrepreneur at age 18 as I had no experience, no skill. When I was 19-year-old, a perspective to pursue higher education from my family mentor inspired me and I started preparing for MBA entrance, to overcome “lack of fluency in English” I remember standing on roundthana of our town with my friend I would practice sentences of English. I did appear in CAT when I was 20 year old failed :)) With ok preparation for lesser known business school, I got admission in a decent business school. Rest is history, worked with finest brands – Times of India, Hero Moto Corp and now with Ford India and executive education from worlds best INSEAD.
:)) So.. Each one is unique and talented, it’s good to accept reality, try, fail, learn, give importance to perspectives and build your legendary Life !
