This sounds like a cliché “keep learning”. We have heard this through top corporate executives in their speeches, it reminds of famous quote of Indra Nooyi, Pepsi Co top boss “Be a lifelong learner”, we have also read this in almost all top management books.
Reality is, as we grow old our learning ability reduces with this we become more rigid in our thoughts and we live life through our past learnings. This makes us boring, monotonous and we stop enjoying wonders around us. This state of mind hinders our life progress or to say we simply stay stuck.
How to break this, sharing with you, one of the top skill which I practice and its yielding me great results, this is called “Compassionate Listening”. Now this means during your interaction with any one, just listen them with complete attention, only thing to remember is that the other person in front of you is unique and whatever he is sharing is his truth, just be with that person 100%, feel that moment. Practice this to pick ideas, inspiration, his concerns, this will also strengthen your bond with that person. This is a natural way of learning. So what’s stopping you, try this by practicing it right now.
